Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of water and carefully remove the cabbage leaves, then blanch them for a few minutes to soften. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground beef, rice, onion, egg, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll them up, tucking in the sides.
