Stuffed Meat Pancakes (erachi Pathiri)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 lb ground meat (chicken, beef, or lamb)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, water, and salt to form a smooth dough. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. In a pan, cook the ground meat with onion, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt until the meat is fully cooked. Set aside to cool.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a small circle. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the center and fold the dough over to form a semi-circle. Press the edges to seal.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and fry the stuffed pancakes until golden brown on both sides.
  5. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
