Stuffed Paplet (goan Style Stuffed Pomfret)

Ingredients

  • 1 whole pomfret fish, cleaned and gutted
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make 2-3 slits on both sides of the fish.
  2. In a bowl, mix ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, lemon juice, and salt to form a thick paste.
  3. Stuff the masala mixture inside the slits of the fish and apply the remaining mixture on the surface of the fish.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and carefully place the stuffed fish in the pan.
  5. Cook for 10-12 minutes on each side or until the fish is cooked through and golden brown.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
