Ingredients
- 1 lb pork belly
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp five-spice powder
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Score the pork belly skin and rub with salt and five-spice powder. Let it sit for 30 minutes.
- Boil the pork belly in water for 15 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and sear the pork belly until the skin is crispy.
- In a separate pan, sauté the garlic until fragrant, then add soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and water. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Slice the crispy pork belly and serve with the garlic sauce, topped with chopped green onions.
