Ingredients

  • 1 can (15 oz) bamboo shoots, drained and rinsed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
  3. Add the bamboo shoots to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour in the soy sauce mixture and water. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  5. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the bamboo shoots are tender.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
