Ingredients

  • 2 eggs

  • 50g butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  3. Top with half of the flaked smoked trout and sliced onion.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, trout, and onion.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the layered potatoes and trout.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
  8. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
