Sun Hua Sun Jiao (bamboo Shoots With Smoked Ham)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb bamboo shoots, peeled and sliced
  • 6 oz smoked ham, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice wine
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok over medium heat.
  2. Add the garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the bamboo shoots and smoked ham, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour in the soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, and chicken broth. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  5. Cover and cook for 5-6 minutes until the bamboo shoots are tender.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.
