Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork ribs
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 lb beef meatballs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (28 oz) cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 lb pasta of your choice

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the pork ribs, Italian sausage, and meatballs over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  3. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and red wine. Stir in the dried oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce the heat to low and let it cook for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  5. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions.
  6. Serve the Sunday gravy over the cooked pasta, garnished with fresh parsley.
