Sure Jell Freezer Jam

Ingredients

  • 4 cups crushed fresh fruit (strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries)
  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 package Sure Jell fruit pectin
  • 3/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the crushed fruit and sugar together. Let it stand for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. In a separate saucepan, mix the Sure Jell pectin and water. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
  3. Pour the pectin mixture into the fruit mixture and stir for 3 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Ladle the jam into clean jars or plastic containers, leaving 1/2 inch space at the top for expansion during freezing. Cover with lids and let stand at room temperature for 24 hours to set.
  5. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or in the freezer for up to 1 year.
