Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork belly
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 3 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1-inch ginger, sliced
  • 2 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice wine

Instructions

  1. Place the pork belly in a large pot and add water, onion, garlic, ginger, and green onions.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1.5 hours.
  3. Remove the pork from the pot and let it cool. Slice the pork thinly.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce and rice wine.
  5. Serve the sliced pork with the soy sauce and rice wine mixture as a dipping sauce.
