Kåldolmar, or Swedish cabbage rolls, are a traditional dish made with ground meat, rice, and spices, wrapped in cabbage leaves and cooked in a flavorful broth. This comforting and hearty meal is a staple in Swedish cuisine and is perfect for a cozy family dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 head of cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup uncooked rice
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully remove the outer leaves of the cabbage and blanch them in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside to cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, uncooked rice, chopped onion, egg, salt, pepper, and allspice. Mix until well combined.
- Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto each cabbage leaf, then roll them up, tucking in the sides to create a neat roll.
