Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk

- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup lingonberry jam (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, egg, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
- Stir in the flour to the skillet and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the beef broth and heavy cream. Add the Worcestershire sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the meatballs are cooked through.
- Serve the meatballs with lingonberry jam, if desired, and enjoy!
