Ingredients
- 4 fish fillets (such as snapper or grouper)
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Coat the fish fillets in cornstarch.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan and fry the fish until crispy. Set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté the onion, bell peppers, and garlic until fragrant.
- Combine vinegar, sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and water in a bowl to make the sauce.
- Pour the sauce over the sautéed vegetables and simmer for a few minutes.
- Add the fried fish to the pan and coat it with the sweet and sour sauce.
