Sweet Bara (मिठो बारा)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups black lentils (maas ko daal), soaked overnight
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Drain the soaked lentils and grind them into a smooth batter.
  2. Transfer the batter into a bowl and add chopped onions, green chilies, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Spoon the batter into the hot oil to form small pancakes.
  4. Fry until both sides are golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with yogurt or achar (pickle).
