Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup sugar
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, warm milk, sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the chopped walnuts, cocoa powder, and sugar to make the filling.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly over the surface.
- Roll up the dough tightly and place it in a greased loaf pan. Let it rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the sweet bread for 1 hour, or until golden brown.
- Let the cozonac cool before slicing and serving.
