मिठो छोयला (Sweet Chhoyela) is a traditional Newari dish that is popular in Nepal. It is a sweet and spicy marinated meat dish that is typically made with buffalo meat.

Sweet Chhoyela (मिठो छोयला)

Ingredients

  • 500g buffalo meat, cut into cubes
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the mustard oil, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, yogurt, honey, and salt to make the marinade.
  2. Add the buffalo meat cubes to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for 1 hour.
  3. Heat a pan on the stovetop and cook the marinated meat until it is tender and cooked through.
  4. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
