Sweet Chhoyela (मिठो छोयला)
मिठो छोयला (Sweet Chhoyela) is a traditional Newari dish that is popular in Nepal. It is a sweet and spicy marinated meat dish that is typically made with buffalo meat.
Ingredients
- 500g buffalo meat, cut into cubes
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 2 tbsp yogurt
- 2 tbsp honey
- Salt to taste
- Chopped cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the mustard oil, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, yogurt, honey, and salt to make the marinade.
- Add the buffalo meat cubes to the marinade and mix well. Let it marinate for 1 hour.
- Heat a pan on the stovetop and cook the marinated meat until it is tender and cooked through.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
