Ingredients
- 1 cup besan (gram flour)
- 1 cup ghee (clarified butter)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 1/2 cup condensed milk
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, pistachios)
- 1/4 cup chocolate fudge sauce
- 1/4 cup whipped cream
- 1/4 cup chocolate shavings
Instructions
- In a heavy-bottomed pan, roast the besan in ghee over low heat until it turns aromatic and golden brown. This will take about 15-20 minutes. Stir continuously to avoid burning.
- Add sugar to the roasted besan and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and leaves the sides of the pan. This is the Mysore Pak base. Spread it in a greased pan and let it cool.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, condensed milk, powdered sugar, cardamom powder, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled Mysore Pak base, spreading it evenly.
- Drizzle the chocolate fudge sauce over the cream cheese layer and use a toothpick to create a marble effect.
- Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
- Before serving, garnish with whipped cream, chopped nuts, and chocolate shavings.
