Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup lentils
  • 1 cup jaggery
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the lentil stuffing by cooking the lentils with turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin seeds, and salt. Once cooked, add jaggery and mix well.
  2. Divide the whole wheat flour into small portions and roll them into small circles. Place a portion of the lentil stuffing in the center and seal the edges to form a stuffed ball.
  3. Roll out the stuffed balls into flatbreads and cook them on a hot griddle until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Prepare the curry by heating oil in a pan, adding cumin seeds, and then adding water, turmeric, and salt. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Once the curry is ready, serve it with the sweet lentil stuffed flatbreads.
