Ingredients

  • 1 sweet potato, peeled and cubed
  • 1 small taro root, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup sago pearls
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 pandan leaf, tied into a knot
  • 1/2 cup palm sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the sweet potato, taro, and sago pearls. Cook until the sweet potato and taro are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Stir in the coconut milk, pandan leaf, palm sugar, and salt. Simmer for another 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove the pandan leaf and discard. Serve the bubur cha cha hot or chilled.
