Sweet Pukala (मिठो पुकाला)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1/4 cup cashew nuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a pan.
  2. Add rice flour to the boiling water and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  3. Cook the mixture until it thickens and forms a smooth dough-like consistency.
  4. Add sugar and cardamom powder to the mixture and stir well.
  5. Heat ghee in a separate pan and fry the cashew nuts and raisins until they turn golden brown.
  6. Pour the fried nuts and raisins along with the ghee into the sweet rice mixture and mix well.
  7. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
