Ingredients
- 6 cups fresh sweet corn kernels
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 12 corn husks, soaked in water
Instructions
- In a blender, blend the sweet corn kernels until smooth.
- Transfer the blended corn to a large bowl and mix in the sugar, softened butter, and salt until well combined.
- Stir in the raisins.
- Place about 1/2 cup of the corn mixture onto the center of each soaked corn husk.
- Wrap the corn husks around the mixture to form tamales, then tie the ends with kitchen twine.
- Place the tamales in a large steamer pot and steam for 1 hour.
- Let the tamales cool for a few minutes before serving.
