Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup ghee (clarified butter)
- 1/2 cup jaggery (or sugar)
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1/4 cup grated coconut
- 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios)
- Water, as needed
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, turmeric powder, and salt. Add water gradually to make a soft dough. Divide the dough into small balls and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, mix the jaggery (or sugar), cardamom powder, grated coconut, and chopped nuts to make the sweet stuffing.
- Take a dough ball, flatten it, and place a spoonful of the sweet stuffing in the center. Enclose the stuffing by bringing the edges of the dough together and sealing it properly.
- Roll out the stuffed dough ball into a thin pancake using a rolling pin and some flour for dusting.
- Cook the pancake on a hot griddle or pan until golden brown on both sides, using ghee as needed.
- Repeat the process for the remaining dough balls and sweet stuffing.
