Swiss Chard And Goat Cheese Tart

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 bunch of Swiss chard, stems removed and leaves chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 ounces goat cheese, crumbled
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and press it into a tart pan. Trim any excess pastry from the edges.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  4. Add the chopped Swiss chard to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Sprinkle the crumbled goat cheese over the bottom of the puff pastry crust. Spread the cooked Swiss chard mixture over the goat cheese.
  7. Pour the egg and cream mixture over the Swiss chard and goat cheese.
  8. Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the pastry is golden brown.
  9. Allow the tart to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
