Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 1 bunch of Swiss chard, stems removed and leaves chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 ounces goat cheese, crumbled
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry and press it into a tart pan. Trim any excess pastry from the edges.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Add the chopped Swiss chard to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper.
- Sprinkle the crumbled goat cheese over the bottom of the puff pastry crust. Spread the cooked Swiss chard mixture over the goat cheese.
- Pour the egg and cream mixture over the Swiss chard and goat cheese.
- Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the pastry is golden brown.
- Allow the tart to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
