Swiss Chocolate Cherry Tart

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the flour, butter, sugar, salt, and cocoa powder. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Press the mixture into a 9-inch tart pan, covering the bottom and sides evenly. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Spread the cherry pie filling over the chilled crust.
  5. Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the cherry filling.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the chocolate is melted.
  7. Allow the tart to cool before serving.
