- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the flour, butter, sugar, salt, and cocoa powder. Pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press the mixture into a 9-inch tart pan, covering the bottom and sides evenly. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread the cherry pie filling over the chilled crust.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the cherry filling.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the chocolate is melted.
- Allow the tart to cool before serving.
