Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork tenderloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Szechuan peppercorns
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate the pork slices with soy sauce and rice vinegar for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the Szechuan peppercorns and dry roast for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove and crush the peppercorns.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in the wok, then add garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  4. Add the marinated pork and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  5. In a small bowl, mix chicken broth, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Pour the mixture into the wok and stir until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add the crushed Szechuan peppercorns, green onions, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and serve hot.
