Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp Szechuan peppercorns
  • 3-4 dried red chilies, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the Szechuan peppercorns and dried red chilies. Dry roast for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Add the vegetable oil, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  3. Add the beef slices and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  4. Pour in the soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and sugar. Stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add the green onions and stir-fry for an additional 1 minute.
  6. Remove from heat and serve hot.
