Taco Braid
Taco braid is a delicious and fun twist on traditional tacos. This recipe combines all the flavors of a taco in a flaky, golden-brown braid that's perfect for sharing with family and friends.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water, following the instructions on the seasoning packet. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Unroll the crescent dough and place it on a baking sheet. Press the seams together to form a single sheet of dough.
- Spoon the beef mixture down the center of the dough. Sprinkle with cheese, tomatoes, and onions.
- Cut 1-inch wide strips on each side of the filling. Fold the strips over the filling, alternating sides to create a braid pattern.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the braid is golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
