Taco Braid

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and water, following the instructions on the seasoning packet. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Unroll the crescent dough and place it on a baking sheet. Press the seams together to form a single sheet of dough.
  5. Spoon the beef mixture down the center of the dough. Sprinkle with cheese, tomatoes, and onions.
  6. Cut 1-inch wide strips on each side of the filling. Fold the strips over the filling, alternating sides to create a braid pattern.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the braid is golden brown.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
