Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Remove from heat.
  3. Warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet or in the microwave.
  4. Fill each tortilla with the seasoned beef mixture, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and cilantro.
  5. Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
