Tahitian Poisson Cru Tacos
Tahitian Poisson Cru Tacos are a delicious fusion of traditional Tahitian poisson cru and Mexican tacos. This recipe combines the fresh flavors of lime-marinated fish with the crunch of taco shells, creating a unique and flavorful dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh white fish fillets, diced
- 1 cup lime juice
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 small taco shells
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the diced fish and lime juice. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, drain the lime juice from the fish and return the fish to the bowl.
- Add the coconut milk, cucumber, tomato, onion, bell pepper, jalapeno, and cilantro to the bowl with the fish. Season with salt and pepper, and gently toss to combine.
- Warm the taco shells according to package instructions.
- Fill each taco shell with the poisson cru mixture.
