Tahitian Poisson Cru Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh white fish fillets, diced
  • 1 cup lime juice
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small taco shells

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the diced fish and lime juice. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. After 10 minutes, drain the lime juice from the fish and return the fish to the bowl.
  3. Add the coconut milk, cucumber, tomato, onion, bell pepper, jalapeno, and cilantro to the bowl with the fish. Season with salt and pepper, and gently toss to combine.
  4. Warm the taco shells according to package instructions.
  5. Fill each taco shell with the poisson cru mixture.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
