Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, cut into cubes
- 2 shallots, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 red chilies, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon of tamarind paste
- 1 teaspoon of palm sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 cup of cooking oil
Instructions
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the tofu cubes until they turn golden brown, then remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté the shallots, garlic, and red chilies until fragrant.
- Add the tamarind paste, palm sugar, and salt, then stir well.
- Return the fried tofu to the pan and mix until the tofu is coated with the spicy seasoning.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
