Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, cut into cubes
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup cooking oil

- 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
- 1 tablespoon tamarind paste
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Coat the tofu cubes with cornstarch.
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the tofu cubes until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a separate pan, sauté the garlic and red chilies until fragrant.
- Add the sweet soy sauce, tamarind paste, sugar, and salt. Cook until the sauce thickens.
- Toss the fried tofu in the sweet chili sauce until well coated.
