Ingredients
- 4 pieces of firm tofu
- 200g minced pork
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 stalk green onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the tofu by cutting each piece in half horizontally to create a pocket for the filling.
- In a bowl, mix together the minced pork, egg, garlic, onion, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the tofu pockets with the minced pork mixture.
- Coat the stuffed tofu with cornstarch.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the stuffed tofu until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Place the fried stuffed tofu in a steaming dish and steam for 15 minutes.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
