Ingredients
- 4 pieces of firm tofu
- 300g minced beef
- 2 shallots, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 red chilies, finely chopped
- 1 tsp shrimp paste
- 1 tsp tamarind paste
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the tofu by cutting a slit in the middle to create a pocket for the filling.
- Heat oil in a pan and sauté the shallots, garlic, and chilies until fragrant.
- Add the minced beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in the shrimp paste, tamarind paste, sugar, and salt. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Stuff the tofu with the spicy minced beef mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the stuffed tofu until golden brown.
- Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
- Serve the Tahu Isi Daging Pedas hot with steamed rice.
