Ingredients
- 4 pieces of firm tofu
- 100g ground chicken
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red chili, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon shrimp paste
- 1 teaspoon tamarind paste
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the ground chicken, shallot, garlic, red chili, shrimp paste, and tamarind paste. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cut the tofu pieces in half and scoop out the center to create a hollow space. Stuff the tofu with the chicken mixture.
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the stuffed tofu until golden brown. Set aside.
- In a pot, bring the vegetable broth to a boil. Add the fried stuffed tofu and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Adjust the seasoning if needed and serve the Tahu Isi Kuah Pedas hot.
