Ingredients
- 4 pieces of firm tofu
- 100g bean sprouts
- 2 eggs
- 4 shallots, finely chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 red chili, finely chopped
- 150g roasted peanuts, finely ground
- 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon tamarind paste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the tofu by cutting a slit in the middle to create a pocket for the filling.
- Stuff the tofu with a mixture of bean sprouts and beaten eggs.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the stuffed tofu until golden brown. Set aside.
- In a separate pan, sauté shallots, garlic, and red chili until fragrant.
- Add ground peanuts, sweet soy sauce, tamarind paste, sugar, and salt. Cook until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the stuffed tofu with the peanut chili sauce on top.
