Ingredients

  • 4 pieces of firm tofu
  • 250g minced beef
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup tapioca flour
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tofu by cutting a slit in the middle to create a pocket for the filling.
  2. In a bowl, mix the minced beef, shallot, garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and sugar until well combined.
  3. Stuff the tofu pockets with the beef mixture, then coat them with tapioca flour.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the stuffed tofu until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  6. Serve the Tahu Isi Sapi hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
