Ingredients
- 500g minced beef
- 1 package of tofu puffs
- 2 shallots, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 red chilies, finely chopped
- 1 tsp shrimp paste
- 1 tsp tamarind paste
- 1/2 cup roasted peanuts, finely ground
- 2 tbsp palm sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the minced beef with shallots, garlic, red chilies, shrimp paste, and salt. Set aside.
- Cut the tofu puffs in half and carefully remove the center to create a pocket for the filling.
- Stuff the tofu puffs with the seasoned minced beef mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the stuffed tofu puffs until golden brown and cooked through.
- In a separate pan, heat a little oil and sauté the ground peanuts until fragrant.
- Add the tamarind paste, palm sugar, and water to the peanuts. Stir well to combine and simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the stuffed tofu puffs with the peanut sauce on the side.
