Tahu Isi Sayuran (stuffed Tofu With Vegetables)

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces of firm tofu
  • 1 carrot, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup of green beans, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup of cabbage, shredded
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tofu by cutting a slit in the middle to create a pocket for the filling.
  2. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the garlic and shallot until fragrant.
  3. Add the carrot, green beans, and cabbage. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
  4. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and sugar. Stir well to combine.
  5. Stuff the tofu pockets with the vegetable mixture.
  6. Heat a pan with oil over medium heat. Fry the stuffed tofu until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  7. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
