Tahu Serai Wangi (fragrant Lemongrass Tofu)

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, cut into cubes
  • 2 stalks of lemongrass, white part only, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 red chili, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 cup of water
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped lemongrass, garlic, onion, and red chili. Sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the tofu cubes and cook until lightly browned.
  4. Pour in the water, soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
