Tallarines Saltados (Stir-Fried Noodles)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz (225g) spaghetti or egg noodles
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over high heat. Add the sliced flank steak and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the red onion, tomato, green onions, and garlic. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Return the cooked steak to the skillet. Add the boiled noodles, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
