Tamarind-Glazed Chicken Wings (Ailes de poulet glacées au tamarin)

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup tamarind paste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the tamarind paste, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the tamarind mixture.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken wings and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the browned chicken wings to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until fully cooked.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
