Ingredients

  • 4 cups water

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the tamarind pulp and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Strain the tamarind mixture through a fine mesh sieve, pressing to extract all the liquid. Discard the solids.
  3. Return the tamarind liquid to the saucepan and add sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.

  5. Refrigerate the tamarind drink until chilled. Serve over ice cubes.
