Tandoori Chicken Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into strips
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp tandoori masala
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • Salt to taste
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the yogurt, tandoori masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, garlic, ginger, and salt.
  2. Add the chicken strips to the marinade and coat them well. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the marinated chicken strips for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  4. Warm the flour tortillas in a separate skillet or in the microwave.
  5. Assemble the tacos by placing the cooked chicken strips on the tortillas and topping them with lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and cilantro.
  6. Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side.
