Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs (700g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tbsp tandoori masala
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, cut into wedges
- 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, tandoori masala, ginger-garlic paste, ground cumin, ground coriander, cayenne pepper, turmeric, salt, and lemon juice.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Add the onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes, until they are slightly softened.
- Remove from heat and serve the Tandoori Chicken Tikka hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and lemon wedges.
