Tandoori Chicken Wraps
Tandoori Chicken Wraps are a popular Indian fast food dish that combines tender, flavorful tandoori chicken with fresh vegetables and a tangy sauce, all wrapped in a warm, soft tortilla. This recipe is perfect for a quick and delicious meal on the go.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons tandoori masala
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- Salt to taste
- 4 large tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup sliced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced red onions
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt (for sauce)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (for sauce)
- Salt and pepper to taste (for sauce)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the yogurt, tandoori masala, lemon juice, cumin, paprika, garlic, ginger, and salt. Add the chicken breasts and coat them evenly with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Heat a stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing into strips.
- In a small bowl, mix together the 1/4 cup yogurt, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to make the sauce.
- Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave. Place the tortillas on a flat surface and layer each with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, tandoori chicken strips, and cilantro. Drizzle with the yogurt sauce.
- Roll up the tortillas, tucking in the sides, to form wraps. Cut in half diagonally and serve immediately.
