Tandoori Mushroom Skewers

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of button mushrooms
  • 1 cup of plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons of tandoori masala
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • Skewers

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the yogurt, tandoori masala, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt to make the marinade.
  2. Wash and dry the mushrooms, then add them to the marinade. Let them marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Thread the marinated mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper onto the skewers.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the skewers in the pan and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and slightly charred.
  5. Serve the tandoori mushroom skewers hot with a side of mint chutney or yogurt raita.
