Tandoori Mushroom Skewers
Tandoori Mushroom Skewers are a delicious Anglo-Indian dish that combines the flavors of tandoori spices with the earthy taste of mushrooms. This vegetarian dish is perfect for a barbecue or a light dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of button mushrooms
- 1 cup of plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons of tandoori masala
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon of ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon of garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 1 onion, cut into chunks
- 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks

Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the yogurt, tandoori masala, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt to make the marinade.
- Wash and dry the mushrooms, then add them to the marinade. Let them marinate for 15 minutes.
- Thread the marinated mushrooms, onion, and bell pepper onto the skewers.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the skewers in the pan and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and slightly charred.
- Serve the tandoori mushroom skewers hot with a side of mint chutney or yogurt raita.
