Tangsuyuk (탕수육) Lettuce Wraps are a delicious Korean Chinese dish that combines crispy pork, sweet and sour sauce, and fresh lettuce for a refreshing and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 1 pound pork loin, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch, dissolved in 2 tablespoons water
- 8 large lettuce leaves
Instructions
- Coat the pork slices in cornstarch, dip in beaten eggs, and fry until crispy. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, combine pineapple, bell pepper, onion, ketchup, rice vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, and water. Bring to a boil.
- Stir in the dissolved cornstarch and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Add the crispy pork to the sauce and toss to coat.
- Place a spoonful of tangsuyuk in each lettuce leaf, wrap, and serve.
