Tangy Mango Pachadi

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Few curry leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1/4 cup grated coconut

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk the yogurt until smooth and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds. Once they start to splutter, add cumin seeds, green chilies, curry leaves, and grated ginger. Sauté for a minute.
  3. Add diced mangoes, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the mangoes are soft.
  4. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
  5. Once cooled, add the mango mixture to the whisked yogurt and mix well.
  6. Garnish with grated coconut and serve.
