Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh white fish, such as tilapia or sea bass, diced
- 1 cup lime juice
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 cup pineapple, diced
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large glass or ceramic bowl, combine the diced fish, lime juice, and orange juice. Make sure the fish is completely submerged in the juices. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- After 2 hours, drain the excess liquid from the fish.
- Add the red onion, bell pepper, tomato, cilantro, pineapple, and jalapeño to the fish. Mix gently to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve the ceviche chilled, garnished with additional cilantro if desired.
