Tangy Tambuli Pani Puri (Yogurt-based Pani Puri)
Pani Puri, also known as Golgappa or Puchka, is a popular street food in India. This recipe puts a unique twist on the traditional Pani Puri by using a yogurt-based tangy tambuli as the filling, making it a refreshing and flavorful snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
- 1/4 cup finely chopped mint leaves
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 small cucumber, finely chopped
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- 20-25 puris (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the yogurt and water until smooth.
- Add the chopped coriander leaves, mint leaves, onion, cucumber, green chili, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, and salt to the yogurt mixture. Mix well to combine.
- Refrigerate the yogurt mixture for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Just before serving, gently crack the top of each puri and fill them with the prepared yogurt mixture.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the tangy and refreshing yogurt-based Pani Puri!
